The ICWA research faculty comprises of Director (Research) and a number of Research Fellows & Research Interns. Presently there are twenty four Research Fellows and two Research Interns. The Council’s research work, as per its mandate, is focused, inter alia, on promoting the study of Indian and international affairs so as to develop a body of informed opinion on international matters, and India's relations with other countries.
The Research Fellows contribute vewpoints, issue briefs, policy briefs and शोध लेख on regular basis which are published at the ICWA website. In addition, the Special Reports and Sapru House Papers, designed to provide in-depth analysis of key foreign policy issues to stimulate debate and discussions, are also published. The Council also publishes, on regular basis, books on various aspects of India’s foreign policy and international affairs written by academics, specialists, officials and emerging researchers, as well as Council’s Research Fellows as per Council’s guidelines in this regard.
The ICWA Fellows actively participate in international conferences both in India and abroad, contribute papers to Indian and foreign scholarly journals, and take part in workshops, lectures, and seminars.
The above activities have resulted in academic networking, promoting synergy in multi-disciplinary research and in expanding ICWA's research capacity and profile.
