Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA) awards Grants to suitably recognised Indian universities and colleges to organise student led activities to promote awareness on world affairs and introducing them to Indian foreign policy and global responsibilities . These activities can be wide ranging, from essay writing, interactive sessions with guest speakers, student led MUNs, & debate on geo political topics of relevance, principally from a student’s perspective. ICWA would be available to finalise the proposal in consultation with the organisers.
2. A Grant of upto Rs. 2 (two) lakhs is awarded for organising one event in one financial year. The Grant is subject to adherence to following conditions:
(i) ICWA is accorded status of partner organisation. Prominent display of its logo and social media handles in all publicity materials of the event is made and due acknowledgement is given to the support extended by ICWA at the conference.
(ii) Post event, a brief report on the Conference proceedings are to be shared by email at the earliest alone with captioned photographs for records.
(iii) An ICWA representative shall participate in the Conference. The cost of local hospitality (accommodation, local transportation, meals) has to be borne by the Conference organiser. A liaison officer is also to be provided to the representative.
