Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), an institute of national importance under the ICWA Act, 2001, located at Barakhamba Road, New Delhi and Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, incorporated under the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961 (Act 59 of 1961) as amended by the Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act 1994 (Act 35 of 1994) have agreed to collaborate in pursuit of their goal of expanding awareness and knowledge on international affairs and Indian foreign policy.
Hon'ble Vice-President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, during his address at the convocation ceremony of IIT-Guwahati on 04 July 2023, had announced an MoU of ICWA with IIT Guwahati. Hon'ble Vice-President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar is the President of ICWA.
The major objective of the MoU will be to organize studies and seminars on agreed topics on international affairs and Indian foreign policy.
Accordingly, both the parties have agreed to collaborate in the following manner:
Expected outcomes:
The Memorandum of Understanding has been signed on 19 July 2023 and will be valid for three years.
