Indian Council of World Affairs

Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), an institute of national importance under the ICWA Act, 2001, located at Barakhamba Road, Indian Institute Of Technology Bombay (IITB), an institution of national importance, established by The Institute of Technology Act 1961, located at Powai, Mumbai 400076, Maharashtra, have agreed to collaborate in pursuit of their goal of expanding awareness and knowledge on international affairs and Indian foreign policy. 

Hon'ble Vice-President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar recently visited IIT Bombay on 6^th November 2023 and had announced an MoU of ICWA with IIT Bombay. Hon'ble Vice-President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar is the President of ICWA. 

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 30^th November 2023 between ICWA and IIT Bombay, which will be valid for a period of three years. 

The objective of the MoU will be to organize studies and seminars on agreed topics on international affairs and Indian foreign policy and both parties have agreed to collaborate in the following manner:

1. Organizing joint events;
2. Undertaking joint studies through mutually agreed modalities on issues of common interest;
3. If requested by IIT Bombay, ICWA will consider offering internships to students of IIT Bombay aimed at building their capacity / skills in international affairs and foreign policy.
