Indian Council of World Affairs

Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), an institute of national importance under the ICWA Act, 2001, located at Barakhamba Road, New Delhi and Xavier School of Management (XLRI), a not-for-profit business school run by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and registered under the Societies Registration Act, Government of Jharkhand, located in Jamshedpur Jharkhand, have agreed to collaborate in pursuit of their goal of expanding awareness and knowledge on international affairs and Indian foreign policy. 

Hon'ble Vice-President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar recently visited XLRI Jamshedpur on 10^th December 2023 and had announced an MoU of ICWA with XLRI Jamshedpur. Hon'ble Vice-President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar is the President of ICWA. 

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 14^th December 2023 between ICWA and XLRI Jamshedpur, which will be valid for a period of three years. 

The objective of the MoU will be to organize studies and seminars on agreed topics on international affairs and Indian foreign policy and both parties have agreed to collaborate in the following manner:

1. Organizing joint events;
2. Undertaking joint studies through mutually agreed modalities on issues of common interest;
3. iii. If requested by XLRI, Jamshedpur, ICWA will consider offering internships to students of XLRI, Jamshedpur aimed at building their capacity / skills in international affairs and foreign policy.
