Indian Council of World Affairs

Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), an institute of national importance under the ICWA Act, 2001, located at Barakhamba Road, New Delhi 110001, and Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur an institution named after the legal luminary Justice Mohammed Hidayatullah, established in 2003 in accordance with The Hidayatullah National University of Law, Chhattisgarh, Adhiniyam, 2003 (No.10 of 2003), located at Atal Nagar, Raipur 493661, Chhattisgarh, have agreed to collaborate in pursuit of their goal of expanding awareness and knowledge on international affairs and Indian foreign policy. 

Hon'ble Vice-President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar recently visited HNLU Raipur on 3^rd December 2023 and had announced an MoU of ICWA with HNLU Raipur. Hon'ble Vice-President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar is the President of ICWA. 

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 17^th January 2024 between ICWA and HNLU Raipur, which will be valid for a period of three years. 

The objective of the MoU is to organise studies and seminars on agreed topics on international affairs and Indian foreign policy and both parties have agreed to collaborate in the following manner:

1. Organizing joint events;
2. Undertaking joint studies through mutually agreed modalities on issues of common interest;
3. iii. If requested by HNLU Raipur, ICWA will consider offering internships to students of HNLU Raipur, aimed at building their capacity / skills in international affairs and foreign policy.
