Indian Council of World Affairs

Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), an institute of national importance under the ICWA Act, 2001, located at Barakhamba Road, New Delhi 110001, and Asian Confluence (ASCON), Shillong, a fully owned unit of DivyaJeevan Foundation Society, a registered society under the Meghalaya Socities Registration Act with its registered office at Asian Confluence, DivyaJeevan, Lady Veronica Lane, Laitumkhrah, Shillong, have agreed to collaborate in pursuit of their goal of expanding awareness and knowledge on international affairs and Indian foreign policy. 

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 5^th  February 2024 between ICWA and Asian Confluence (ASCON), which will be valid for a period of three years. 

The objective of the MoU is to organise studies and seminars on agreed topics on international affairs and Indian foreign policy and both parties have agreed to collaborate in the following manner:

1. Organizing joint events;
2. Undertaking joint studies through mutually agreed modalities on issues of common interest;
3. iii. If requested by Asian Confluence (ASCON), ICWA will consider offering internships to students of Asian Confluence (ASCON), aimed at building their capacity / skills in international affairs and foreign policy.
