Indian Council of World Affairs

Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), an institute of national importance under the ICWA Act, 2001, located at Barakhamba Road, New Delhi 110001, and Gujarat University, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, a leading University set up under the Gujarat University Act 1949 & Gujarat Common Universities Act 2023, having its registered office at Navrangpura, Ahmedabad 380009, have agreed to collaborate in pursuit of their goal of expanding awareness and knowledge on international affairs and Indian foreign policy. 

Hon'ble Vice-President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar recently visited Gujarat University, Ahmedabad on 19^th January 2024 and had announced an MoU of ICWA with Gujarat University, Ahmedabad. Hon'ble Vice-President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar is the President of ICWA. 

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 7^th February 2024 between ICWA and Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, which will be valid for a period of three years. 

The objective of the MoU is to organise studies and seminars on agreed topics on international affairs and Indian foreign policy and both parties have agreed to collaborate in the following manner:

1. Organizing joint events;
2. Undertaking joint studies through mutually agreed modalities on issues of common interest;
3. iii. If requested by Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, ICWA will consider offering internships to students of Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, aimed at building their capacity / skills in international affairs and foreign policy.
