Indian Council of World Affairs

Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), an institute of national importance under the ICWA Act, 2001, located at Barakhamba Road, New Delhi 110001, and Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi, established in 1924 and a constituent college of the University of Delhi and its oldest women’s college; located at 31, Sham Nath Marg, Delhi-110054, have agreed to collaborate in pursuit of their goal of expanding awareness and knowledge on international affairs and Indian foreign policy. 

Hon'ble Vice-President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar recently visited Indraprastha College for Women on 7^th February 202 and had announced an MoU of ICWA with Indraprastha College for Women. Hon'ble Vice-President Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar is the President of ICWA. 

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 19^th February  2024 between ICWA and Indraprastha College for Women, which will be valid for a period of three years. 

The objective of the MoU is to organise studies and seminars on agreed topics on international affairs and Indian foreign policy and both parties have agreed to collaborate in the following manner:

1. Organizing joint events;
2. Undertaking joint studies through mutually agreed modalities on issues of common interest;
3. iii. If requested by Indraprastha College for Women, ICWA will consider offering internships to students of Indraprashta College for Women, aimed at building their capacity / skills in international affairs and foreign policy.
